Oswego Physical Therapy Clinic

ABOUT

Hans Stenfert Kroese P.T. MOMT, BSPE, SpM

Hans opened his practice after working at major hospital outpatient clinics in San Diego and Portland treating orthopedic and neurological disorders. He wanted a quiet, private, spa-like environment that would be very comfortable for patients, while offering them more than your traditional Physical Therapy clinic.

The treatment sessions are one-on-one, hands-on therapy. Hans has 35 years experience as a Physical Therapist, with a focus on treating musculoskeletal, cervicogenic headaches, and numerous other disorders including foot/ankle, and exercise therapy. Guided meditation, visualization, breath work, and imagery techniques are offered as well, if requested.

He ranks in the top 5% of outpatient Physical Therapists in the US based on a 2019 survey (FOTO questionnaire).

“I wanted to create the kind of practice I could be proud of with expertise and where I would want to be treated or would refer family and friends. I have had extensive training in mindfulness and meditation in addition to countless hours in joint and spinal disorders continuing education.”

Sports Massage degree (Netherlands)

With over 35 years experience as a licensed Physical Therapist, I specialize in hard-to-treat cases such as acute and chronic disorders of the neck, spine, and extremities. My focus is to help clients who have a complicated diagnosis or do not have a diagnosis. My practice is 100% one-on-one, hands-on therapy with instruction on therapeutic exercises.

Besides a Physical Therapy degree I also have:

  • Physical Education and Sports Massage degrees from the Netherlands.
  • Orthopedic Physical Therapy (Clinical Masters in Manual Therapy) degree.
  • A Trauma informed background (facilitation of the ventral vagal complex to promote calming and soothing effects on pain through emotional awareness).

My career has taken me across the US, from New York and Florida to major hospitals in California and Portland.

A recent Physical Therapy pain and recovery survey ranks me in the top 1% in effectiveness as a Physical Therapist with a significant number of fewer treatment visits.

I am a 20 year resident of Lake Oswego. Besides spending time with my family I am passionate about mountain climbing, yoga, and meditation.

I am motivated to:

  • comprehend the complex effects of trauma and pain,
  • be guided to not only reduce suffering,
  • move beyond mere survival,
  • be able to flourish despite challenges and adversity with one’s health.
