Hans Stenfert Kroese P.T. MOMT, BSPE, SpM

With 35+ years experience I specialize in hard-to-treat cases. My focus is to help clients who have a complicated diagnosis or are uncertain of their prognosis.

I opened my practice after working at major hospital out-patient clinics in San Diego, CA (Kaiser, Adventist Health, Scripps), and in Portland, OR (Legacy Health) treating orthopedic and neurological disorders since 1989. I rank in the top 5% of outpatient Physical Therapists in the US based on a 2019 survey (FOTO questionnaire).

I am injury/trauma informed (pain, grief, anxiety, PTSD) and able to use certain mindfulness techniques specific to the client’s pain condition.

What sets me apart from other therapists is my personal connection and holistic approach.

I am motivated to help you flourish despite challenges and adversity with your health.

I wanted a quiet, private, spa-like environment that would be very comfortable to patients, while offering them more than your traditional Physical Therapy clinic. The treatment sessions are one-on-one hands-on therapy for most musculo-skeletal disorders, including cervicogenic headaches, neck pain, and numerous other disorders such as foot/ankle and running injuries. Treatments also involve exercise therapy.

Other details about me:

• Use of gentle techniques (spinal manipulations should be avoided).
• I do not believe in spinal joint subluxation theories.
• Lectured to local Physical Therapists on topics such as sleep, foot/ankle/running injuries, hypermobility disorders, MABT (Mindful Awareness in Body Oriented Therapy), Headache disorders, Emotions/Motivation/Cognition: The Brain that Changes Itself, etc.
• Have extensive experience in mindfulness training and countless hours in joint and spinal disorders continuing education.
• Created my own method for treating chronic neck pain and Cervicogenic Headache, Hypermobility disorders in addition to numerous other spinal and extremity conditions.
