It takes a multi-disciplinary and collaborative approach to address all there is to understand and treat when it comes to helping those suffering from headache and migraine disorders.
During your comprehensive initial meeting I will listen to your unique story and consider the most appropriate treatment options for your headaches.
Based on my findings from our first evaluation I will develop a Plan-of-Care addressing numerous components contributing to your headache disorder. In addition, I work collaboratively with health care providers who’s sub- specialty includes migraine medicine such as Primary Care, Neurology, Doctor of Rehabilitation Medicine (Physiatry), Nutritionist, Naturopath, Massage Therapist, Psychologist.
Together with one or more of these practitioners my Plan-of-Care will consider each of the following treatment categories in addressing your headache condition.
2) FDA-approved devices
3) Nutrition and Hydration
4) Sleep hygiene and Circadian rhythm
5) Headache triggers
6) Co-morbidities (such as concussion, obesity, TMJ/jaw dysfunction, etc)
7) Fitness and developing specific home or gym exercise programs
8) Wellness coaching
9) Life style issues such as stress
a) The role of emotion and past trauma in fueling pain
b) Mindfulness training
2) Degrees in exercise science (plan-of-care includes targeted Medical Exercise Therapy),
3) Understanding the cognitive neuroscience aspects of meditation:
a) The psycho-biology of mind-body healing (tutorials included),
b) Mindfulness training (guided meditation with tutorials are included in your PT sessions),
4) Instruction in plant based sports and exercise nutrition,
5) Headache specific Manual Therapy/massage (during each therapy session),
6) Ergonomics (body mechanics, posture, alignment),
7) Hypermobility and other neck disorders.

Be assured that I pride myself on seeing clients with the least amount of visits. The goal is to acquire the tools necessary to best manage your condition without requiring the untold amount of visits certain practitioners recommend.
